I first photographed this Washington DC family a few years ago when their first child Sowmya was just about 1 year old and saw them last when mom was pregnant. So it was with great pleasure that I got to finally meet little brother Rajan and photograph the family again now that he is at the one-year-old mark. These photos are particularly special because they were taken just before Rajan’s first haircut, which is a significant right of passage in the Hindu tradition.
This is the best and cutest family ever.
