Getting ready for the holidays

This was my last of four sessions with Fallon and the first holiday session of the year. I first met Fallon when she wasn’t even crawling yet and now she’s a bona fide toddler with a mouthful of teeth, running around trying to keep up with her big sister Olivia.

Fallon’s first year

On Tuesday we commemorated Fallon’s first birthday with our third photo session together. Check out how she’s grown since her six-month and ten-month photos. Now that school is out for the summer, big sister Olivia was able to join us and even got into the action for part of the session.

Toothy smiles

One of the nicest parts of photographing kids, if I’m lucky enough to see them for multiple sessions, is witnessing their growth and transformation over weeks, months, and years. In the first year, it never ceases to amaze me how quickly they change. I last saw Fallon back in February. Back then she still had no teeth, but now her big smile shows off two new pearly chompers. She had an expressive face when I first photographed her, but now there is a growing awareness in her eyes. Of course with new teeth comes teething, that not-so-fun stage that all babies must go through. With some hugs from Mommy, she managed to keep smiling through most of the session. I’m already looking forward to seeing Fallon again in a couple of months to see more changes!

Baby with the biggest smile

Fallon’s mom wanted to make sure we captured a gummy smile before Fallon’s first teeth came in. Fallon made the job easy, obliging us with endless big grins. I’m looking forward to 3 more shoots with Fallon over the course of the next year to see how she blossoms. Happy Valentine’s Day!
