Back in 2010, Music Together teacher Amy Despres enlisted my services for business lifestyle photography. We knew each other from years earlier when my son and I had taken her music class. She remembered that I was a professional photographer specializing in photographing kids. When it was time to update her website, she enlisted my services to take candid photos while she was teaching. Then she could showcase photos of herself as the engaging music teacher that she, surrounded by joyful kids and parents.
Several years later, another music teacher who worked with Amy in Washington, DC, Silvia Ferro, contacted me about having similar candid business photos taken. Silvia was planning to launch a Music Together business of her own upon moving to France with her family and she wanted authentic-looking lifestyle pictures for her new website.
For these unposed business photos, I sat in on one of Silvia’s classes full of adorable babies and their caregivers. Silvia instantly reminded of the Miss Amy I had such fond memories of. Silvia’s love of music was infectious, and her enthusiasm for teaching was undeniable. While sitting in the class, it was apparent how much the kids and parents enjoyed her. I was thrilled to see how well that enjoyment translated into the photographs here.
