Toddlers have so much energy and enthusiasm, and that certainly was the case with little Beldon when his family came in for their first photo session with me last fall. Franklin (Dad) and Mari (Mom) wanted to capture some family photos with lots of warmth and happiness, and of course, show off how adorable Beldon is! I think we succeeded.
I met Mari in September when she attended one of my Snap Happy: Photo 101 classes at the Breastfeeding Center. She later contacted me when I announced the dates for my holiday mini-sessions last fall, and I’m so glad she did. Not only did their session turn out extremely well, but I got to meet the rest of the family and had fun snapping shots of that smiley boy with beautiful blue eyes.
In each of the photos, it’s easy to see how much joy Beldon brings to the the pair of them. Do you see the smile on his face and the way he’s clapping as his dad holds him up high? Dad was obviously having a great time, too. Or how about the casual, relaxed way Mom and Beldon are in their photos together? My particular favorite is the photo of Beldon by himself. He has the complete essence of a little boy about to head on a mischievous mission.
After the session, Mari and Franklin ordered holiday cards, as well as a family portrait, plus prints of Beldon with both of his parents. As Beldon gets bigger, having these photos to look back on in the years to come will be such a wonderful way to remember his first years and the love each of them has for one another.
