Many parents in the area know of the fantastic Miss Amy’s Music Makers Music Together classes held in Dupont Circle and Columbia Heights. I went to Amy’s classes with my own son for about two years and photographed her and some of her young students for her website back then. I fully credit Amy’s classes and her infectious enthusiasm for fostering my son’s love of music. I only wish we could have continued longer, but alas the timing conflicted with preschool.
After we stopped going to classes, I was thrilled to learn that Amy became a mother. And then thrilled to see Amy again recently to do a family photo session when her daughter turned one. I can only imagine all the benefits of a home and life filled with the joy of music and a mom who has a special way of cultivating and nurturing that love. Lucky kid!
