Today’s Price family session is a special one. Not only was this the Price’s 13th session (being published on June 13th, no less!), but the pictures are also debuting on little Vivienne’s 6th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Vivienne! I hope you’re having a spectacular birthday, little lady!
This gorgeous family was last photographed in the fall of 2015, for their holiday photos. This time, Margot wanted to do a fun and whimsical garden shoot with the girls wearing their special handmade dresses from her favorite dress company, Well Dressed Wolf. The two Price girls looks absolutely adorable in them, too. Wouldn’t you say? August, looks dashing in his shorts and light cargo shirt and together the Price kids are a stunning little lot, as always.
We met at the National Cathedral Bishop’s Garden for this session, and we made a plan to attempt to take a shot at the elusive group photo of all three of the kids together. The Price kiddos are very active, so it can be a challenge to get them all in one photo, but we managed to capture this lovely one below (one is all you need!), plus a sweet photo of the two sisters together, which isn’t included here.
By now, all three of them know me so well, I’m like an old family friend and got a nice warm welcome from each of them. The one unfortunate thing about this shoot was the weather was unseasonably cold and windy. This made the session a bit of a challenge considering the children’s attire was all light summer dresses and shorts for August. Margot had brought along a blanket that belonged to her grandmother, which we included in the images, and also served well to keep the kids warm.
A few weeks after the shoot, Margot and I got together at their new home in McLean so we could assess the wall space and come up with a master plan for all their photos, from this shoot and all the previous sessions. The photos from today’s session will be part of a collection that will be showcased going up their stairs. I can’t wait to see the plan come to fruition over the next several months and finally see all of the Price Family photos beautifully displayed for them to enjoy.
